Why some visits have no company
Home broadband, mobile networks, VPNs and short visits can't be identified. They are still counted and never use credits.
It is normal for most visits to have no company. Typically 15–30% of business visits can be identified.
The usual reasons
| Reason | Why it can't be identified | Credits used |
|---|---|---|
| Home broadband | The network belongs to the internet provider, not the employer | None |
| Mobile data | Shared by thousands of people | None |
| VPN or privacy relay | The visible network belongs to the VPN provider | None |
| Cloud server or bot | Not a person at a company | None |
| One-page bounce under 15 seconds | Not looked up, to save your credits | None |
| Small company on a consumer line | The network has no company record | None |
Where to see them
Journey → All visits by source shows every visit by channel with three counts: with a company, no company found (not charged) and lookup in progress. That way you can judge a channel even when many visitors stay anonymous.
How to raise your identified share
- Send ads and campaigns to pages people actually read for more than a few seconds.
- Target countries and devices where your buyers work from offices (desktop web in ChatGPT Ads, for example).
- Use forms on high-intent pages so anonymous visitors can still become leads.
