LinkedIn Ads lets IntentBid show Sponsored Content in the LinkedIn feed to the people who buy from you, at the companies on your target account lists. Campaigns run in your own LinkedIn Campaign Manager ad account. You keep the account and the billing, LinkedIn charges you directly, and IntentBid adds no fee on your spend.

Before you start

  • A LinkedIn ad account. If you don't have one, create it in Campaign Manager and add a payment method. LinkedIn won't deliver ads without one.
  • The right role on that ad account. The LinkedIn login you connect with must have the Campaign manager role on the ad account (the Account manager role works too). Viewer and Creative manager can't create campaigns, so the connection would be read-only at best. You can check roles in Campaign Manager under the account's Manage access settings.
  • A LinkedIn Page for your company. Sponsored Content is published in the name of a company Page, so the ad account should be linked to your Page.
  • Owner or admin role in IntentBid.
  • Your website added in IntentBid. Each brand (website) has its own connection.

Connect step by step

  1. Open Connections and find the LinkedIn Ads (your account) card.
  2. Click Connect with LinkedIn.
  3. Sign in with the LinkedIn login that manages your ad account, and allow access. IntentBid never sees your password.
  4. You come back to Connections. If the login has access to one ad account, the card shows Connected with the account name.
  5. If the login manages several ad accounts, the card shows Choose account. Pick one under LinkedIn ad account for [your brand] and click Use this account. Each option shows the account name, its number and currency.

What IntentBid does in your account

Once you're connected, IntentBid:

  • creates Sponsored Content campaigns with single-image ads, always paused until you approve them in IntentBid
  • targets companies from your TAL lists, audiences or the companies the website script identified, and the job functions and seniorities you choose
  • reads campaign results every hour, and LinkedIn's company-level report (impressions and clicks per company) once a day
  • keeps each company under its daily impression cap, if you set one. See Frequency cap per account.
  • pauses, resumes and changes budgets when you click those buttons in IntentBid

Nothing spends until you click Approve and launch on All campaigns. See Create your first LinkedIn ABM campaign.

Switch, reconnect or disconnect

  • Use this account: switches to another ad account the same login manages.
  • Reconnect LinkedIn Ads: signs in again, for example with a different login or after LinkedIn asked you to re-approve access.
  • Disconnect: removes the connection. Campaigns already in Campaign Manager stay there and keep running, or stay paused, exactly as they are.

FAQ

Does IntentBid charge for LinkedIn ad spend?

No. LinkedIn bills you directly in your own ad account. IntentBid doesn't add a markup.

Can IntentBid launch ads without my approval?

No. Everything IntentBid creates arrives paused. Only an approval in IntentBid, or a change you make yourself in Campaign Manager, starts spend.

Will my existing campaigns show up?

Yes. Campaigns already in the ad account are loaded with the first sync and updated every hour after that.

Can I connect several LinkedIn ad accounts?

One ad account per brand. If you run separate accounts per market or product, add each as its own brand in IntentBid. Agencies can hold many brands under one login.
